My top most natural ingredient…
Honey really does have ALOT of properties which are very beneficial for us, here’s a few with some recipes/remedies to try…

Its anti-biotic properties make it good for treating sore throats, coughs and colds.

-Mix a dash of lemon juice, honey and hot water to get rid ofa grotty throat.
-And to treat colds add a spoon of honey and a pinch of turmeric into some warm milk and drink before bedtime. Works wonders I tell you. (An Indian remedy passed down form mum to mum lol and if youre Indian or Guajarati you’ve probably already tried it…)

Honeys antiseptic and anti bacterial properties help soothe and heal wounds.
Its non toxic and 100% safe to use it on wounds, cuts and burns.

Anti-microbials are agents that kill micro-organisms or inhibit their growth.  This means that it is great for preventing infection. While anti-bacterial soaps usually kill mild to moderate bacteria, anti-microbial agents have been shown to actually PREVENT the spread of bacteria that can live and multiply inside the human body. Some of these types of bacteria can contribute t

Its antimicrobial properties makes it a very good baceteria killer and it also inhibits their growth. This helps prevent the spead or growth of certain bugs and bacteria which makes it an amazing health beneficiary.

-Even a spoonful of honey before bed is great to settle your GI tract for a restful night especially for those who suffer from IBS. (IT WORKS WONDERS FOR ME!)

  • Use it to help ease an upset tummy or cleanse stomach bugs. Mix together equal parts of honey, vinegar and water and drink. The combination of all these is the perfect parasite killer.

It’s a natural Humectant. This makes it a rich moisture locking source which is good for keeping hair glossy, healthy and soft. It locks, seals and retains the moisture which also makes it good to use on the skin to encourage regeneration of healthy skin cells and healthy a healthy scalp.

-Use it to condition youre hair- Mix a few spoonfuls with olive oil. Apply to wet hair and let it soak for 20 minutes (try covering your head with a bag and then wrapping in a towel to lock the mixture in) then rinse and shampoo out.
You can also do the same with Aloe Vera gel which also works a treat as it is full of moisture.

Honey’s antioxidant properties allows it to help the growth and enhance the nutrient supply tissues and skin. This is what makes it great for giving that lovely glowy fresh and healthy skin.

-Use it to remove acne and reduce the effects of spots by placing a small dab of honey on the affected area, as honey has natural anti-inflammatory properties. It’s also known to have excellent anti-bacterial substance and will control the re-occurrence of breakage as it will control the excess production of sebum on the skin.

  • Use it as a cleanser to remove impurities from the skin, works well to remove make-up, dirt and clean clogged pores. Mix some honey with some plain yoghurt into a smooth paste, apply to face in circular motions and rinse with warm water. Yoghurt is rich in protein, lactic acid, and fat, which helps detoxify as well as leaving a clean fresh feeling.

-For a quick facial try mixing honey with a small amount of gram flour along with a few drops of rose water and apply on the skin, let it sit for 10 minutes before washing off.
